Welcome to our Cubs page. We do all sorts of interesting and fun things like swimming, music, exploring, computing and collecting.
We also get to go on trips and days out, to places like the zoo, theme parks or a farm. Sometimes we go camping with the rest of the Pack and take part in all kinds of outdoor activities.
If we do really well at something we get badges to wear on our uniforms to show how well we’re doing.
Our leader is called Duncan (we call him Baloo) and he is lots of fun. Our Assistant Leader is Dave. Our Young Leaders are Jess and Nick.
Cubs is for girls and boys. You can join when you are eight and at 10½ you will be ready to move up to Scouts
Ages 8 to 10½
Our Cub Pack meets at the Scout Hut at Holmanleaze (near the Magnet Leisure Centre) on Mondays between 6.30 and 8.00 during term time.
Cubs is the second section of the Scouting movement, originally started in 1916 for younger brothers who wanted a 'look-in'.
In nearly a century, the section has constantly evolved and adapted its programme and methods to meet the changing needs of each generation of young people, and these days admits girls as well as boys.
