Being a Beaver
As a Beaver, you’ll encounter many new activities, people, and experiences. Here’s everything you need to know!
We have a lot of fun playing games, listening to stories, making crafts, learning about nature, and much more. We really enjoy having outdoor adventures, and we sometimes go camping or have sleepovers, which are fantastic!
Beavers is open to both girls and boys. You can join us when you are six years old, and when you turn eight, you’ll move up to Cubs. If you’re interested in joining earlier, feel free to talk to our leaders!
Our Beaver Colony meets at the United Reformed Church (URC) in West Street (behind M&S) on Mondays between 6:15 and 7:15 pm during term time.
Beaver Scouts usually meet weekly to take part in a wide range of activities including games, crafts, singing, visits and good turns, along with plenty of outdoor activities.
They will also have the opportunity to take part in the fun and excitement of camps and sleepovers. It may be the first time they spend a night away from home so it’s a real adventure for them.
